Ebenezer Baptist Church Missions has been onsite in the Eastern NC area doing boots on the ground work for four weeks (11 mission trips) doing disaster relief work directly after the hurricane. Kelly, NC (2010 population 544 people) as indicated by Dr. Leonzo Lynch, GBSC President will be the area of focus for the next missions.


The upcoming December Missional relief efforts is directed by Rev. Walter Bowers,  Executive Pastor , Ebenezer Baptist Church along with The Baptist State Convention of NC (NCBAPTIST) & The General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (GBSC) and will be during the week of Dec 1-8, 2018 in Kelly, NC.

Ebenezer will lead and partner with other churches across the state and assist with “Boots on the Ground” Hurricane Florence Disaster Relief Clean-up.  We welcome your church to join us! Volunteer teams will travel down and stay overnight  December 1st-5th or December 5th-8th to assist with clean-up an spreading the Love of Christ.  Relief volunteers will be provided meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), shower and sleeping accommodations (cots) at no cost for overnight stays at the host church in Ivanhoe, NC. (20 miles from Kelly, NC). NOTE: For volunteer teams who do not wish to stay on-site at the host church, the closet hotel is Comfort Inn of Clinton 1412 Sunset Ave. Clinton, NC 28238 (910) 592-8220. Please note that hotel accommodations costs are at your own expense. Comfort Inn hotel is located 30 miles from host church and 45 mins from Kelly, NC where the work will be performed.  

The relief teams are provided daily with work orders which can range from full tear out to include drywall removal, personal contents removal, carpet pull up, sweeping debris, praying and ministering with families, food distribution, etc. 

We are asking Volunteer churches to bring a team of 4-6 men and/women that will stay overnight for 4 days/3 nights beginning Saturday Dec 1st- Wednesday Dec 5th OR Wednesday Dec 5th- Saturday December 8th. Additionally, if possible to have one church bus/van available to transport your team down and remain available for the days on-site. We will provide gas for the vans, disposable dust /mold protection cover-alls, hard hats, gloves and other supplies. Please bring small hand tools. We encourage clothes you do not mind getting dirty. 

Assembly Day: Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm at EBC in the multi-purpose room. Open to everyone. We have two hour shifts available throughout the day.   • Mops, Brooms and dust pans
